Breakfast as been coined to be the most important meal of the day. This is coined as a marketing strategy since 1917 from a food company that sold eggs and bacon.Unknown to consumers,they have completely adopted the phrase and they live by that. A research conducted by Monash University in Australia, found that skipping breakfast could help people lose weight. Yeah,you read that right. The research showed that those who eat breakfast have an overall high calories than those who skipped breakfast.
Although another research suggested that people who eat breakfast are often slimmer. This is because they tend to eat less (especially high calorie foods) during the day compared to those that skipped breakfast. Another research concluded that those that have breakfast, have more balanced diets. They tend to lose weight easily if overweight.Although, Body Weight ALONE isn’t the complete judge of health. Research from Monash University discovered that people who skipped breakfast weigh lesser than those who took Breakfast. They thus suggested that adding breakfast to diets of individual who want to lose weight might not be a smart strategy.
BUT NOTE, that People that skipped breakfast have more tendency of taking high calorie snacks and junks during the day. This increases the overall cholesterol level and fat. Therefore, it is advised that breakfast should be not be skipped and should be watched carefully to avoid high calorie foods.
Many Dietitians have however suggested that its more about the quality of Breakfast taken. They further explained that instead of totally skipping Breakfast, individual that wanna lose weight should focus more on low calorie foods compared to bombarding the body system with high calorie Breakfast.
